A Radical is someone who is colloquially known as an individual going against the system and has strong belief in his/her own convictions. Right now, the Telugu people have got two radicals who are hitting the headlines every other day. While one hails from the cinema industry, the other hails from the political circuit. Incidentally, both of them happen to be very good friends as well so one can imagine the havoc when such personalities get together.
If you are still wondering who we are talking about then the cine radical is Ram Gopal Varma and the political radical is Lagadapati Rajagopal. Incidentally, Ramu is one man who believes in doing what he wants and most of the times, what he does is for his own happiness and satisfaction. On the other hand, he doesn’t bother of the consequences or the reactions from the neighbourhood. He does what he believes is right and gets going. That has also given him the unique perception to look at things in an unconventional angle and the uncanny ability to stir the thoughts of the audience and the regular people.
As for Lagadapati, he is one man who is defiant of all odds and worked his way through despite many challenges. One can recall how during the Telangana turmoil and the T-seekers were at the peak of their vandalism, Lagadapati was cool as a cucumber and maintained his stand. On the other hand, he has also come up with adventure trips such as escaping from the hospital and reaching Hyderabad, giving a piece of his mind to KCR, countering the various criticisms on him efficiently, listening to all very sweetly and assertively driving his point.
While Ramu’s approach is hard hitting and single minded, Lagadapati is more subtle and smooth. Ramu has no diplomacy and admits he is selfish while Lagadapati has diplomacy in every word and speaks like an authentic politician. Given the fact that both of them are buddies since college, one can imagine the vibrations when both of them get together for a talk.
