Shankar is the 'Indian of The Year'

With the movie "Robo", the entire nation has come to know what kind of a film director Shankar is. He can be termed as a trend setter
because till his arrival into the films, our cine industry had two separate categories, namely commercial and art films. But Shankar has proved that there needn't be two categories, if you have clarity on what you want to tell the public, you can always do it on screen mixed with other commercial aspects. For instance, through his "Gentleman" movie he gave a nice message that higher education should be in reach of all. In "Aparachithudu", how a nation gets degenerated by corruption and with "Oke Okkadu", Shankar has proved that if our political leaders have the sincerity, how they can serve the people better in a single day. It's very happy to note that this great director has been chosen as the 'Indian of The Year'. Though Shankar has so far directed only ten movies, he scaled the heights that any other director would take an entire lifetime. The 'Indian of The Year' award will be presented to Shankar on 22nd of this month at Delhi.
