Nandamuri Balakrishna on Monday visited Srikalahastiswara swamy temple in the morning hours and performed Rahu Ketu sarpa dosha puja for the success of his forthcoming film Parama Veera Chakra, which is set to be released across the globe on January 12.
According to sources, Balakrishna came to Srikalahasti from Tirupati to perform Rahu Ketu puja. The temple authorities gave a traditional welcome to the film star and offered prasadam after the puja.
After performing Rahu Ketu puja, Balakrishna had the darshan of Vayulingeswara swamy. The popular actor sought blessings for the success of the film. Parama Veera Chakra is the 150th film of director Dasari Narayana Rao.
Earlier, the temple authorities had tightened security in and around the sanctum sanctorum for the visit of film actor.
After performing puja, the actor told media persons that he came to Srikalahasti to seek theblessings of Vayulingeswara swamy. he said that he would extend his full support to farmers’agitation in the state and will fight for their rights till the time they get a revised financial package from the government.
He expressed serious concern over the pathetic condition of rain-hit farmers in the state and urged the government to help them to tide over the financial crisis.
