Popular director cum producer EVV Satyanarayana (53) expired yesterday, leaving everyone in shock. He was suffering from throat cancer from past few months and he was admitted at Apollo Hospital, where he breathed his last. Born in 1958 in West Godavari district, Edara Veera Venkata Satyanarayana has entered film industry with the direction of Chevilo Puvvu film.
EVV received his first break as a director with Prema Khaidi. Later, he delivered many blockbuster films and he has directed films with almost every hero in the Telugu film industry. He created a niche for himself following his guru Jandhyala in directing comedy entertainers.
Some of his noted films include Appula Apparao, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Varasudu, Hello Brother, Jambalakadi Pamba, Aa Okkati Adakku, Evandi Avida Vachindi, Alluda Majaka, Chala Bagundi, Kithakithalu, Bendapparao RMP, Katti Kanta Rao. He has directed most of the films with Rajendra Prasad and Srikanth. EVV introduced both his sons to the film industry and his last directorial was Katti Kanta Rao with Naresh.
