Story

Varshith is the son of Bandagi Gopanna (Jagapathi Babu), who sacrifices his life fighting for Telangana. Gopanna’s father and grandfather too earlier dies fighting for Telangana. Varshith’s mother Jayamma (Smriti Irani) wants his son to fight for separate Telangana state. Initially Varshit do not take the movement seriously, but later he realizes the problems of the village people and joins the Telangana movement. Varshith and Sahana gets parted due to regional issues. Will Varshit succeed or not forms the rest of the story.

Performances

It’s important for the cast to perform well and put in emotional feelings in such revolutionary films and director Shankar has chosen all new faces except Jagapathi Babu and few others. Family entertainer Jagapati Babu has played an entirely different role as a fighter for Seperate Telangana and he succeeds in doing such role.

Smruti Ilani played a lengthy role in the film and she did an okay job. Jhansi has given dubbing for her.

Young actor Sandeep and Meera Nandan were fine with their decent performances.

Other casts AVS, Janardhana Maharshi, Nagineedu were adequate.

Technical Aspects

Story, Direction

Director Shankar has taken one sidedness in the story narration and he only highlighted the film with separate Telangana point. Shankar has mainly focused on the issues happened in December 2009. He has directly attacked few politicians through few dialogues in the film. The united Andhra agitation in Seemandhra was a direct attack on MP Lagadapati. However, the movie lacks interest as director has put his focus more on the love story. He has used most of the screen time for love story, which does not helped much for the main content. Poor Screenplay, dull climax and bad script are the negative points of the film.

Music plays an important role in such revolutionary films and Chakri has succeeded in that with Gaddar’s ‘Podusthunna Poddumeeda,’ KCR’s ‘Gaaradi Chesthundru’ songs. Cinematography was ok but editing could have been better.

Analysis

Jai Bolo Telangana might do well in the Telangana region, but overall, director Shankar has come up with poor technical values, badly penned script and single sided content. Jai Bolo Telangana is just for Telangana lovers.
