Nenu naa Raakshasi audio Review

Film: Nenu Na Rakshasi

Starring: Rana,Ileana,Abhimanyu Singh

Director: Puri Jaganath

Producer: Nallamalupu Bujji

Banner: Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions

Music: Vishwa and Rahman

Rana Daggubati, who has scored a decent hit with his debut film Leader in 2010, is gearing up to reach the silver-screens with Nenu Naa Rakshasi, which took shape in the hands of dashing director Puri Jagannadh. While he was seen in a soft role in Leader, Rana went for a complete make-over in Nenu Naa Rakshasi and has opted for the role of a professional killer. The handsome hunk has romanced the sexy siren Ileana in the movie. Viswa and Rahman have scored the music apart from penning the lyrics. Here is the Nenu Naa Rakshasi audio review.

01. Malli Malli Merupula — 3/5

Singer: Shankar Mahadevan

Lyrics: Rahman

The album opens with the powerful fast beat number Malli Malli Merupula. It’s well crooned and Rahman’s lyrics are quite meaningful and appreciable. The track is western in its approach and Shankar Mahadevan’s vocal rendition makes the number powerful with the strong orchestration. Energetic Start!!!

02. Padithinammo — 3.5/5

Singer: Vishwa

Lyrics: Vishwa

Vayyari ninnu choosi.. starts with great guitar riffs. The track is unique and you’ll like it in the first hearing. It’s composed, sung and penned by Vishwa. The rendition is very catchy and Vishwa has mingled it with English and Hindi words which adds an additional essence to the song. This is probably the best song of the album. Get ready to press the repeat button…

03. Meenachi — 2.5/5

Singers: Geetha Madhuri, Vishwa, Rahul Nambiar

Lyrics: Vishwa

After a couple of romantic numbers of the album, here comes a mass beat track, which is also a western type folk song. Geetha Madhuri, Rahul Nambiar, Vishwa’s vocal rendition is good and the lyrics are neat. This might be an item number and will appeal to the front-benchers.

04. Papam Punyam — 2.75/5

Singers: Bhargavi Pillai, Hema Chandra

Lyrics: Rahman

Papam Punyam.. is yet another fast paced number with western touch. No doubt the lyrics are catchy (on leading the life in a happy way) and the orchestration is outstanding which draws the attention of listeners and keep them engaged. Bhargavi Pillai, Hema Chandra are expressive and added the necessary zing to the song.

05. Padithinammo (Remix) –3/5

Singer: Vishwa

Lyrics: Vishwa

This is the remix version for the Vayyari ninnu choosi… track. The composer has handled the remix version too with some interesting synch sounds and danceable beats. However, the original track is much appealing than the remix one.

06. Nenu Na Rakshasi Theme – 2.5/5

This is the theme song of the film and has the rhythmic touch and is worth listening for its orchestration. This is just a one and half minute track and might have been used as the background score to uplift the story.

On the whole, Vishwa and Rahman scored a decent album with unique western style beats and a folk number for Nenu Naa Rakshasi. The album appeals to the classy audiences while we need to see how the mass audience receives it.
