T-Town was shutdown from 8th April in the name of strike, as the AP Film Employees federation has called off for a strike across India demanding for a hike in their wages
from the producers’ council.


Currently, the film shoots of Mahesh Babu’s Dhookudu, NTR, Boyapati’s tentatively titled Tiger, Balakrishna’s forthcoming film and many others were halted. 10,000 technicians, film workers are said to be participating in the strike.


However, the producers are not willing to increase the pay of the employees and are sticking to pay them as per the guidelines fixed by South Indian film chamber of commerce.


The strike seems to be seriously affecting the scheduled summer releases of 2011.
