who will be the number 1 hero in Tollywood.........

sekhar Kammula @ Cannes

India’s National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) is all set to promote six Indian film-makers at 2011 Cannes film festival inorder to enlarge the association
between the Indian and overseas film industries.

The happiest news is that Tollywood’s successful director Sekhar Kammula is one among the six-film makers, who made it to Cannes. In fact, Sekhar Kammula is the only South Indian film-maker and that itself is quite an honor to TFI. Anurag Kashyap, Anusha Rizvi, Dibakar Banerjee, Laxmikant Shetgaonkar and Haobam Pabam Kumar are the other film-makers to be promoted at the film-festival.

The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) for the first time took the responsibility of managing the Indian delegation at Cannes film festival. The six film-makers will be introduced in the series of meetings and events in the International village and along with it, the trailers and information about directors’ work will be played to promote them in the international arena. The 64th Cannes International film festival is scheduled to be held from 11th to 22nd May.
