Ram is hitting the big-screens nearly after 15 months gap with Kandireega by teaming up with a debutant director Santhosh Srinivas. 1) Gentle Man… – 2.75/5

Gentle Man is fast beat, peppy and energetic number. The synchronization is good but it is one more familiar tune from Thaman. Bhaskarabhatla filled amusing lyrics in the song that makes the track impressive though it is Thaman’s regular number. This could be the introduction song of the hero and we can expect good number of steps from Ram.
2) Champakamala… – 3/5

Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry
Champakamala resembles Thaman’s work in Anjaneyulu and Mirapakaya in bits. The duet is lyrically and rhythmically pleasing to the ears. The track takes off with Karthik’s gentle vocal followed by Suchitra’s soothing rendition that gives a western feel in the song. All in all, a good number.
3) Naakodithey… 2.25/5

Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar
Naakodithey is a typical fast beat mass masala song. The artists have crooned it in punch packed style with the heavy sounding. However, the number gives a Tamil flavor or a dubbed song feel. Bhaskarabhatla lyrics are nothing special while the tune from Thaman is also a familiar one and nothing to boast of.

4) Angelina… 3/5

Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry
Angelina is western styled fast beat number with foot-tapping music. Thaman made the number as mass and class delight. Rama Jhogaya Sastry penned entertaining and youthful lyrics with a mix of English and Telugu words. The singers maintained good tempo throughout the song. Have a listen!!!
5) Premey… – 2/5

Lyricist: Rama Jhogaya Sastry
Premey.. is a old fashioned number and Thaman used his choice of musical instruments and singers. The song seems to be the situational number where the lead star looses his love. It is just a routine commercial formula song with lots of drum beats. The song is not so attractive and you can skip it.
On the whole Thaman has scored an ordinary album for Kandirrega, which is packed with his familiar tunes. A couple of songs might impress instantly, but it’s hard to stay in the hit charts for longer time. While the Tollywood biggies are running behind Thaman, he is failing to score unique tunes.
