who will be the number 1 hero in Tollywood.........

orange"failure to launch"

It might not be known to many that 'Orange' is actually inspired by the Hollywood movie 'Failure to Launch'. This Matthew McConaughey's romantic comedy was one of the Hit films of the year 2006. This movie looks more like a Bollywood movie especially the climax that is so artificial and unbelievable for any Hollywood viewer. But it works very well on Indian screen. If this movie would have been re-made as it is, it would have been a definite Hit. But unfortunately Bhaskar spoiled the original story and characterizations as much as he can.
In the Hollywood movie, Hero is 35 years old and still lives with his Parents. He loves any girl in a short-term basis and in that short-term, he shows unlimited love towards that girl. But when he thinks that it is over, it is over and he is in search of another girl. Her mom (Mom changed to Sister in Telugu) is so much frustrated with his attitude and hires a girl to teach him a lesson so that he can realize that he has to find his real love and has to stop depending on Parents for the love.
Then the girl acts like an innocent girl(like our Genelia), and the hero takes her and her friends along with his friends to various places for fishing, sailing, trekking etc and while doing all this he impresses her real hard. They both fall in love, and the heroine falls in love with him even after knowing that his love stays only for a short term. She tells his parents that he is the greatest lover and a really great person, and then his parents start getting concerned about the girl because they hired the girl to change their son but she is getting changed and going to become another victim.
Later after some scenes, it is revealed that Hero has a flashback where he had a girl friend and when she is died he is greatly devastated and depressed and he had to depend on his Parents for the support. That is the reason why he does not want to fully fall in love with any other girl because the separation may make him collapse again.
Later, When Hero comes to know about the hiring thing, he is deeply upset with both of his parents and the heroine and leaves everyone. Heroine gives all the money back to his parents that they gave her for the deal. Then the parents and Hero's friends plan for a meet to happen between the lovers that can be seen live in TV. Now, the climax is all about how Hero realizes the problems in his attitude and also how he realizes that he is in deep love with the heroine. Finally both the lovers unite and it is a happy ending with great emotional touch.
Now, if we compare the original one with 'Orange', in the Hollywood flick, the characterizations are very well picturized and it is convincingly explained that why hero's attitude is in that way and at the end, the hero had realization and he will everlastingly love that girl.
But in Telugu movie, it is still confusing at the end. First of all, the reasons mentioned for the strange attitude of the Hero are not realistic. Throughout the movie, Hero has been shown in a way that he has some attitude problems. There is no real realization at the end from the Hero's character. The emotional quotient was not there at all. Straight from the beginning Hero says to the Heroine that his love is temporary. There is no scene in the movie where we can find some real romantic behavior between the Hero and Heroine.
It is perfectly 100% the Director's mistake, choosing a good original subject and completely spoiling it. It can be clearly observed that he wanted to make a 'Arya' kind of Hero characterization and he hoped for that kind of Hit. But he clearly proved that he is naive in thinking ahead on how the characters finally look on the screen and how the audience will receive them.
