It was the year 1989. There was a strong rivalry between the fans of Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. On 14th January 1989, industry hit movie of Chiranjeevi, 'Athaku Yamudu Ammayiki Mogudu' was released. The movie was released at 'D' center Kirlampudi of East Godavari District. Any movie would normally run just for one or two weeks in that small village. The movie was released at Padmanabha Theater of former MLA Mudragada Padmanabham. He had a clash with one of his rivals and made the movie to run for 100 days in his theater.
On the other hand, his rivals formed as a group and released another industry hit movie Bala Krishna's Muddula Mavayya, which was released on 10th February, 1989. This movie was also completed direct hundred days in the same theater at kirlampudi. It is still a strange thing to many people to see how two movies released with a gap of just one month could run 100 days directly in a 'D' center.
