Bet coming on January 1

Bet, the dubbed Telugu version of Tamil actor Bharath's 2009 filmAarumugam, will be released across Andhra Pradesh on January 1, 2011 by Thondapu Nageswara Rao under the banner of Shilpi Creations. Priyamani is the heroine. Ramya Krishna plays an important role.
Directed by Suresh Krishna, the film revolves around Arumugam (Bharath), a good Samaritan who makes a living selling idlis on a pavement shop with his father (Ilavarasu), sister (Saranya Mohan) and sidekick (Karnas). Arumugam is in love with his childhood friend Yamini (Priyamani). His best friend is a rich kid Karthik (Satya) whose sister is the arrogant Malini (Ramya Krishnan). Malini hates Karthik’s deep bonding with Arumugam.
Through her machinations, Malini separates the friends and brings about Arumugam's downfall. After his mother’s grave is razed and his sister humiliated, Arumugam vows to bring Malini to the streets and extract his revenge. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
